Case Management

What is Case Management?

A case manager works with students to provide problem-solving support, resources and assistance as they navigate systems and adjust to campus life. Some examples of case management support include:

  • Advocacy for students who are experiencing difficulties and challenges
  • Communicating with faculty and other campus departments
  • Accessing basic needs such as housing and food
  • Navigating academic systems (Blackboard and UASOnline)
  • Accessing community resources for additional support
  • Connecting with academic supports (Learning Center and Writing Center)
  • Help completing departmental forms such as petitions
The case manager does not provide mental health counseling, but can help a student interested in counseling set up an appointment with the UAS Counseling Office or can connect with TimelyCare.
